If I wanted to: How do I lockdown the network on the computer.
I was just wondering, has Microsoft implemented a way to lockdown the internet access on Windows Defender (Security) yet? I did awhile ago place such a request on the Feedback Hub but had no response yet from the development team at Microsoft. Is such a feature possible with Windows Security at the moment? Or will we still have to use third-party internet security software's for the time being.

Windows 1809 not showing Account's profile picture anywhere
After the 1809 update, Windows is not showing my Microsoft account's profile picture on the Windows Login screen, in the Start Menu or the Account Settings.

Creating a custom setup for Office 365 Applications on Install
In Office 365 for many of the programs such as Word, Excel etc. , there is an option to "show the Start screen when the application starts" that by default is set to ON. On every system where I install Office365 we would like for this option to be UNchecked and instead have the program Start with a Blank Page.

accessing Network share on other Win10 pro box.
for the life of me Windows 10 with LAN network file explorer is Attrocius... Changing to Windows Insider slow lane
I have had frequent problems with fast lane builds so that with my present 18282, I have switched to the slow lane.
Now at startup, I get the following message, "this build of Windows will expire soon".

"Input signal not found" comes up when I shut down my computer.
I have gone the net and found some answers but none worked.
I just bought a new monitor HP 24W and it has worked great for the past 14 days.

How Does Windows Sort Alphabetically?
So there are lots of unicode characters that Windows will allow you to use in your file and folder names. However, how does Windows determine how they're sorted? Take the following example of a huge number of folders named with different characters:

Earlier, I clicked on a notification pop up saying a programme was slowing my PC down, I thinks it was something about office 365
Now, when I try and open my saved MS word documents, when I try and open each document, MS configuration opens saying configuration in progress but crashes whilst loading

viewing existing files after Windows 10 upgrade
I just upgraded our oldest PC(an HP Pavilion dv7) from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
Now, all I see is a single profile at the Login window. It is an Administrator account.
I can find previously-existing data files(Microsoft Publisher file, etc) using File Explorer, but it says I cannot open them.
What do I need to do to access data files which existed when this PC was still Windows 7?

E: is not accessible. Access is denied
I have a problem with my computer and I cannot blame Microsoft or the man in the moon or anyone else, sadly it is self-inflicted. I have 2 SSDs installed in this PC. C is the system drive and E is my back up drive which I use to make regular bootable clones. Additionally I save certain folders to an external USB device. Win 10 not activating with Win 8 key? Should this work?
So the story goes; my motherboard gave up the ghost on my old system so I have basically built a new system. I installed Win 8.1 pro on it as this is what I was previously using and quickly realised that my new hardware did not support earlier than Win 10. I had no internet access so I used an old laptop to get a USB bootable of Win 10 pro.

Windows 10 USB Connect/Disconnect Sound No Longer Functions
It's been like this for a while but on my desktop computer, Windows no longer plays the sound when connecting or disconnecting a USB/external device. I have checked and there is a sound listed in Control Panel/sounds for it. Not sure what to try next to restore this function. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

USB Flash Drive Problems Since October Update
Having ongoing problems with usb 3.0 flash drive after most recent windows 10 update. Occurring on multiple computers that have been updated.
In some cases, the USB drive is not being recognized at all. In other cases, it's being recognized but the cursor freezes. Pulling out the flash drive and putting it back several times ultimately seems to solve the problem. Doesn't matter whether using...
